History of Bathurst Community Transport
The Bathurst Community Transport Group Inc ran its first Bus service in 1978. Funding is provided by the Department of Transport, Home and Community Care and financial support from Local councils. The Group is oversighted by an independent community based management committee and is an incorporated body. The committee is drawn from various sections of the community. The Administration office is located at Suite 2, 154 Bentinck Street.
Bathurst Community Transport is funded through:
- The Home and Community Care programme (60% Federal & 40% State funded)
- The Community Transport Programme (State funded)
All funding is administered through Transport NSW.
Revenue can also be sourced from contractual work with:
- The Department of Veterans' Affairs
- The Education Department (Special Education Scheme)
- NSW Health Department (Health Related Transport)
